While this is beautiful, it is so damn expensive... definitely an item for only the players who truly keep GGG alive.

Look l love Path of Exile but I also hate some things about it. I suppose in ways that is good. But the face this is a large piece of proof how GGG cares more about taking money from the minority hardcore fans/streamers than anything else.

I've seen this profit system before within a fanbase. You don't need to get the most players ever. Just a large enough pool of the most dedicated who will give you as much money as possible all the time. They have certainly achieved that and continue to cater to the minority who pay them for what can only be called "exclusivity" within the community they carry.
