Got that Star Wars money on my mind

I understand that but the whole series is littered with the setup for a high fantasy ending. I don't think higher deities revealing to be spurring on a side would be a trope with how it would be revealed in their setup (through the Red Lady, Bran, Night King). These are characters of high fantasy in a wasteland of politics and intrigue

I think you can still have both. But now it's this weird narrative where the human-ending cataclysmic event is over, crisis averted but we have to go deal with the real baddie, Cersei. The lady who can't bring back the dead, can't cause an eternal winter and soul purpose isn't to kill all humans. But damn does she have a scowl.
