Got a warning letter for taking ammo on accident I wanted to know what does compliance record mean? Because they said it’s on there now, any help would be appreciated

You now have a history of violating federal regulations for transportation security. It’s not a criminal record, but with TSA you do now have a history of noncompliance, and a Warning Notice that specifically advises you of such and warns you against committing further violations in the future. So the next time you “forget” something, this compliance history can be used to escalate the civil penalty levied against you. I.e. higher fines because you know better since you were put on notice in the past.

This doesn’t show up in any background checks, etc., it’s not a criminal record like i said. It could affect your Precheck status if you have it or apply for it in the future. It can potentially affect other things like an STA or TWIC, but if you don’t work in aviation or at a maritime port, you don’t know what those things are.
