I got to see Zerzan on a panel tonight...

I am not a primitivist, but I am anti-civ. I am critical of industry and the development of civilization. But I'm not all, "Let's revert back to the stone age." I think it's important to learn from the past, not to live in it. And I can't speak for any other anti-civ/post-civ people, but I am the farthest thing from transohobic you'll find. There's talk amongst many anti-civ people about being "gender nihilist," and I guess that's fine or whatever, but I understand that for some people gender is important, and I fell like if you choose to express a gender, any gender (or lack thereof), you should be able to. For example, I myself don't necessarily prefer to ascribe many gendered qualities to myself. But I guess that's just me and how I feel sometimes. I don't know. As an anti-civ thinker, I'd definitely say I respect fully the rights of all trans people and fully consider trans women as women. I despise TERFS.

I guess I'm just rambling at this point. But I just mean to say that not all people who are anti-civ exclude the rights of queer people in their own book, especially if they themselves don't necessarily desire to be pushed into assigned gender and sexual molds.
