I love that GiantBomb West and East get together for GOTY discussions but honestly does anyone else get a lot value out of the 24 hours or so of GOTY podcasts? I would much rather see the staff focus on video features that are entertaining and shorter. While I have time to listen to both the Bombcast and Beastcast I'll never have the time to listen to 24 hours of GOTY podcasts, I doubt many others do either, especially around the holidays.

I just don't see the value in essentially locking the staff away in a room for 24 hours for podcasts. Several of the staff have hinted at not really looking forward to GOTY discussions. Personally I would be happy with with say 3 categories, or even one (GOTY) and that's it. It's rare for both GiantBomb East and West to get together and I think that time could be much better spent on more focused video content.
