Gov. Jared Polis allowed Colorado restaurants to reopen. But would he take his family to one?

He is our representative. That's literally his job - to speak for the people and make decisions in their best interests.

I'm immune compromised and a server. My choice is go back to work and risk severe illness or death OR lose my job and unemployment. Yes, I have a choice, but they are both detrimental to my family's health and well being.

It's not so much the opening I take issue with because I agree that it's a necessary step. I take issue with the illusion that people in certain industries have a choice to return to work. I wonder why, when we are so concerned about keeping hospitalizations low as possible, there have yet to be any safety provisions made to protect the weaker people in society. Yes, we should have the choice to protect our health. Wouldn't it be prudent to allow employees with verifiable health conditions to continue the Safer At Home protocols?
