Governor Whitmer announces plan with Holtec to reopen Palisades Plant | WKZO | Everything Kalamazoo

There really is no argument that renewables introduce uncertainty into the grid.

Yes there is, go look at the link. We do not need baseload power systems. That's texas' grid real time data. The solar & wind combined evens out the power pretty nicely. Renewables follow our usage better than any baseload system ever would. Pretty much everything you think or have been told has been by anti's has been is a lie. That link proves it.

Answer these questions.

  1. How much does a new 1gw nuclear plant cost.
  2. what design would you build?
  3. does that design have approval?
  4. how long would it take to get approval & build?
  5. how much wind & solar could we have built during that time and how much co2 would be saved?
  6. Do you believe that we certain triggers that global warming will hit that it'll be the ball game? temp hits x degrees? certain ice fields melt? Whats better in the short term to stop those triggers? Taking 15 years to build a nuke plant or rolling out wind & solar?

I'm not against keeping palisades open. Its just a band aid until we get more wind & solar built. Big nuclear plants are dead. we're never going to build a new one in the USA. Small reactors are the only hope. Every time we get an update from the CEO's of the SMRs. They get more expensive & they're going to be pricing themselves out pretty soon.

I am sorry for dream killing but its the truth.
