GPA check? (Texas)

It's a pretty big lie, but it's close to my major GPA.

I've come to accept that if it happens it'll happen, probably best to come up with a plan B.

I'm not sure if this tells you anything, but in my offer letter under Education requirements it says

Your employment is contingent upon the completion of graduation requirements. We will verify your education to determine that you have graduated from the college identified on your resume and/or employment application. If circumstances arise which would prohibit you from a timely graduation from your current collegiate program, you must notify us immediately.

And the rest of the letter makes no mention of transcripts or anything to do with education, however under the drug screening and criminal background checks it says "depending on your position you may be subject to additional background checks."

There's no way to know for sure, but I'm resigned to being panicked until the problem either goes away or presents itself. I almost wish they asked immediately so I could have either gotten the job despite it, or recruited the remainder of the year.
