I almost made a similar choice too last year before I chose to start college.

I’m in a music related major, and at this one private school I was looking at, it would’ve cost $500 per ONE half hour instrument lesson. At a cheaper state school that I chose to go to instead that I’m currently at, an entire semesters worth of lessons is only an extra $370, which is a bit more than half of what one lesson would’ve costed at the private school I looked at.

I’m relieved I chose the state school. I’m still learning a ton and having a great time, and my debt is going to be much more manageable. Though that’s not to knock private schools either. For some people it’s what works for theme
