I think it’s a persecution complex and I absolutely hate saying that as I know it’s used to pooh pooh a lot of arguments, ‘you’re just trying to be a victim’. It just strikes me that the bulk of the arguments focus on bathrooms and ‘what if I end up in the bathroom with a trans woman’, and I can’t help but think that the circles and places a lot of the most vocal critics move in that is very unlikely to happen. Like, I’m a young woman with a lot of LGBT friends and move in some ~woke circles and it hasn’t happened to me often at all in bars or whatever, and I just can’t imagine JK Rowling is drinking in those same bars lol
