Grammar study ruined my German

Here is the problem when people including those in r/German say stuff like, "Oh I do declare there is only one kind of German...". Imagine telling a Welsh person that their English is the wrong English or a Midwesterner that they are not smart enough because of the way they say certain sayings. German is no different because many diverse dialects make that region wonderful. Imagine if you tried to sing Das Karwendlleid in Standard German, it would lose its meaning and beauty in the Tiroliean dialect that it's supposed to be sung in. Or try singing an English translation of any German folk tune and then think, "What I am doing wrong with the original song?".
