I am really lucky. Both my mother-in-law and my mother want grandkids- who can blame them? Grandkids are fun if you like kids. My husband is an only child and my brother doesn’t look like he is settling down anytime soon. But both of them know that I don’t want kids, mostly because I don’t want them, but also because I could pass along a mental illness to them and/or risk hurting them during pregnancy with my meds. They rarely say anything. Sorry about your mom! You should remind her that there are thousands of kids in foster care in the United States and she could easily take in one of them if she just really has a maternal itch to scratch.
