The Great Sphinx of Giza has a tail

Schoch's claims are based on evidence

A small amount of evidence loosely tied to his claims, which if true would completely change our current timeline of history. Meanwhile there's mountains of evidence supporting the mainstream theory dating it to 2,500 BC which agrees with our current timeline of history. Schoch's theory is not adequately supported by geological and archaeological evidence. That's why it has been a fringe theory for over 30 years.

Experts in Egyptology simply don't know and thus make hypothesis on when they think it must have been built

Yes, experts in egyptology believe Schoch is incorrect. Also experts in geology, and experts in archaeology, and experts in climatology.

As for the Joe Rogan claim that since he is on the podcast it must not be true science, Joe Rogan has nothing to do with the research of his guests, their findings or their work. Joe Roman's podcast is among one of the most popular and most streamed podcasts today, and that is because he has a whole host of people ranging from comedians to authors to hard-core scientists. Schoch's work should not be written off because of a platform he has spoken on.

I'm not sure where you've gotten the idea that I believe JRE doesn't showcase true science, or that I am writing off his work because he has been on JRE. I did NOT say that. Joe Rogan takes on guests who really are renowned experts, like Michael Osterholm. Michael Osterholm's work transcends JRE, though, while Schoch going on JRE is the pinnacle of his sphinx theory.
