"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians: who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable." - Brennan Manning

TBH I wasn't directing the downvote comment to you. I was just shocked how within a few minutes it was downvoted twice, despite actually providing scriptures. And it's not that it sounds nice, that is how the Bible describes it. The stories reflect it, and it's echoed throughout the Bible. The Bible tells us, as I quoted, that there is always a way out. Where there isn't, God calls for patience, and faith, that He will live up to His promises.

I have seen it in my own life. And even in my family. My mother got cancer, and an extremely aggressive type. I have been through trials. I have lost best friends. I have lost jobs and been close to living on the street. Yes, I know others have suffered more, some have suffered far more than I. To me, that just makes them a stronger person than I am. But throughout all that, I have had faith in God. I have watched as He has guided me through things that I thought were impossible for me to handle.

So it does reflect real life, because I have seen it reflected many times. There still are things that happen that I don't understand. Some things make me wonder, "Where are you for them, God?".. But I have learned to just trust Him, and the fact that He is loving, and wishes that no one should parish. And again, suffering, and pain, are all talked about in the Bible, and like the verses I quoted state, God is there FOR us, to help, not against us, rigging things so that we can fail. He gives us mercy, and it even says He has patience with us. If you believe that God is evil and vindictive, then you are believing a lie. It's as simple as that. Either the God of the Bible is who He says He is, or it's all a lie.
