A Greek woman sees her son depart for the Albanian front in the Greco-Italian war of 1940 with an icon of St.George.

Because they bypassed the Greek defences though Yugoslavia

There were several greek defences. Aliakmon line, Metaxas, Thebes, Corinth etc. All were easily breached by the Wehrmacht. Also Macedonian-greek border is fairly mountainous, same as Albanian border.

The only significant defence was in Crete and there were more Brits there than greeks. greeks didn't do anything. Italians couldn't fight.

Italian army was commanded by literal dumbasses that were incapable of coming up with plans. Defeating Italian army in ww2 is like defeating a fleet of f35s which is commanded by a baboon. Defeating Italian army is nothing special.

lol. maybe nazis should have brought swords as well to match greeks.
