Green Room is a work of violent realism.

Great points! I very much felt the same watching it, so horrifying to watch them go through that, you feel helpess and hopeless watching.

Fun story: About a week after seeing it(still very fresh in my mind), I went on a tinder date with a local actor. I had a great time, the conversation flowed easily, he's funny and sweet, but I was still a little uneasy around him. He started talking about his acting, and this movie he'd done, and I had a literal double take. He's one of the skinhead shitheads. Not a big character, but a violent one. It was a little hard making out with him with the image of him giggling over the body he just gutted flashing in my brain; but in all honesty, it was a great date. I never heard back, though, Cest la vie!
