Greninja Deck list help

There's no point in running less than 4 talonflame since it's literally only useful if you get it in your opening hand. Running fewer copies means you're just wasting space.

One idea I've seen people add is Minccino FCO 86 which lets you discard a tool attached to one of your opponent's Pokemon. This helps you with removing Garbotoxin from Garbodor matchups.

Looking at your list, I think you're running way too much draw support with 4 Sycamore and 4 N. You can definitely run a 4-2 or 3-3 or even 3-2 in whatever combination you like, but having 8 total is too much (remember you have 4 VS Seeker!). I get that you'll be less likely with a dead hand, but if you're adding in Talonflame that helps out your starting hand to be more consistent anyways.

I also think 10 energy is too much. You've got 2 super rods, you'll be fine with 8. I'm not a fan of the splash energy since you can't super rod/fisherman it back into your deck, and you can't grab it with professor's letter. Your attack is putting energy back into your hand as well, and since you only need 1 to attack, you should be good with 8 IMO.

I think your list is pretty solid to be honest, but here are my suggestions:

  • 1 Greninja BREAK (you'll be fine with 3 since you have 2 super rods to bring em back)

  • 2 total of (N and/or Sycamore)

  • 2 Splash Energy

  • 4 Talonflame

  • 1 Minccino FCO 86

One thing to keep in mind is if you do decide to run Talonflame, you might consider using Ultra Balls in order to discard the extra ones.
