Grimes ran off stage tonight in the middle of her song :(

My idea is... anyone who doesn't have a World Princess shirt and isn't broke and who already bought her last two albums (if you didn't... shame on you) should buy that shirt now. Why? Because we need to support her financially if that is keeping her from having security (she said this was why she doesn't!) AND this particular shirt sends the right message- it's a song that she might start to hate because it's associated with her stalker. apparently it's his fav song, and she had to fucking stop playing the song and run off stage because he threatened her related to this song. but the song is actually a badass statement of not being under the thumb of male producers in the industry, and was (at least until last night) one of her personal favs, and one of most fans' favs. let's not let this song or her music get ruined, let's give her a positive memory of how all her fans truly love that song and love her more than that piece of shit "fan" ever could.

And if you want, tweet/instagram her about why grimes shows, albums, videos (not weirdly obsessing over claire boucher personally) have been so awesome, beautiful, life saving for you etc. We could even have a hashtag i dunno.

ps. Also everyone be sure to buy the albums. Remember no artist makes money when you stream their albums- even if you subscribe to a streaming service (unless it's Tidal, but almost no one pays for that). So you are NOT supporting Grimes's art, unless you bought her album. Yes, you do support her by seeing her live. But many people are unable to see her live. And touring has many expenses of its own, like recording. You should support both if you can. If you get the vinyl you can get a great package with 14 pieces of artwork by Grimes, there's no need to actually have a record player/turntable. The CD has Realiti demo as a bonus track. For less than $8 you can get the red cassette. If you're not into physical stuff, just get the download and consider it an honor system donation. Also if you do subscribe to Spotify or Apple and you ever become broke and your streaming subscription runs out, buying the download still gives you access to her albums whenever you want. (ps. the early albums are masterpieces too, I am not mentioning the early albums, only because she makes no money from anyone buying them. but if you don't have a problem with that, buy them if you want. it just won't help her pay for security).
