‘Grinch’ charged after strings of Christmas lights stolen from Charleswood homes

My parents live in an area just outside the perimeter where it's mostly old retired folks with big lawns and in general everyone leaves their lawn mowers/tractors in their backyard during summer for easy mowing the next days. One night, from what we assume, is someone brought a truck and legit stole a handful of lawn tractors (worth a few grand each). Neighbours we either waved or nodded friendly to once in awhile had to walk up to our doors and warn us people were coming overnight to the small community and stealing lawn tractors.

We assume it was scouted from one of the roofing company guys since they often hire ex-cons and at some point someone thought "well that's a lot of lawn tractors out in the open" and pulled a fast one. Shook the community for some cash, pretty sad overall.

Few years back, so probably worse now because, well, meth rampage.
