Ground crews on Japan usually wave goodbye and bow to all planes exiting

True, and that’s why companies want their employees trained to do so, but Japan still goes the extra mile on this. Other places may tell you to bow at customers, but not the exact angle you have to do so. Some places may tell you to wave your hand, but Japanese companies will tell you exactly how high at what angle and speed, so it looks good and matches everyone else’s. I’ve been to higher-ish end brand stores all over the world and Japan is maybe the only place where ALL store employees are trained to professionally wrap your purchase to gift-status, at a high speed too (meanwhile, I’ve stared in space for 10-20 minutes while someone bumbles in their back room probably figuring out how to pack something, lol).

It definitely feels nice to be treated that way, especially compared to some clerks who just kinda side-eye you even as you’re buying their product as if I can barely afford it (...from experience >_>).
