Group home bullcrap

Hey, kid. I just wanted to let you know that I saw your post.

I'm sorry for what you're going through. All of that is terrible. I work in a group home and David is not a candidate at all for group living. He should not be in that facility with you. He needs a higher level of care.

If you feel unsafe in your placement, you have the right to report that to your caseworker. Tell your caseworker exactly that, that you feel unsafe now because of the new resident. Tell them that you believe that you are in immediate danger because staff cannot control him. That should start some wheels turning to have either him or you moved to a new placement. You didn't ask, but I think it would be better for you to stay where you are and find David a different placement. You can ask for that!

You're going to have to speak up and advocate for yourself. I know that can seem overwhelming, but every time you do it, it will get a little easier. You're doing it here already, so keep going.
