Group Ironman is now the largest poll in OSRS history, surpassing the warding poll.

But group ironman is a more fun idea.

No, it's not. Your opinion might be that it's more fun, and that's fine, and I hope it passes for your sake, but it's just an idea, just like ironmen.

Except it's an idea which makes almost no sense when you actually look at it.

The entire point of the ironman gamemode is that you aren't playing co-op. Co-op ironman is just... Runescape.

GIM occupies an incredibly niche space. Without prestige, it's literally just Runescape without the GE. With prestige, it's Runescape without the GE and you only do shit with your friends.

With GIM, only a single group member needs to level construction for you all to get the benefit. Only a single group memeber needs to level mining for you all to get the benefit. Crafting, smithing, farming, herblore, hunter, etc etc, the vast majority of skils simply aren't necessary for your average group member. You can have literally one skilling account you share and multilog on, training AFK, banksitting while your other teammates go and gather supplies through PvM while every actual account in your group does the bare minimum to achieve non-combat goals (unlocking areas w/ quests etc) and so on.

The entire point of Ironman is you have to do everything yourself. The benefit of Ironman is it forces you to go and experience 'everything' (ok still nowhere near everything, but drastically more than the vast majority of players do) the game has to offer. GIM does not do this. At all.
