Grunt work

I had an ESTJ foreman and he would always tell us he would put on the tools if need be, but everyone knew he was in that office because of his ability to manage and talk to people. He was a big name because he had a name of honor, and made a point of doing things right and going the extra mile where possible. He’d always talk about coming to enjoy your day, being safe, doing your fair share not at another’s expense.

Anyways, one day I come walking around site because at this point in time I’m a material handler / apprenticing with one of the journeymen on site (Ones ENTJ / ones ISTP) - I see the big boss man organizing material even though it’s one of the lowest positions on the job, but most important. That was a powerful moment for me, because he said the guys who are on the tools get the job done and are the most important.

It’s kind of weird because with ENTJs, they give me the impression that certain things are below them. ESTJ might be a bit more to deal with a lot of the time, but they typically like teaching and grow softer with you over time.
