According to all racing rules it’s the person overtakings responsibility to not cause a wreck. If car A is wide at the beginning of the hairpin car B cannot run under car A and then tbone A at the apex. The leading car has the right to his line. The only way car b can legally overtake on the hair pin is if car b’s front is past the A pillar on car A at the entry of the turn.

My biggest gripe is being punted from the back on any turn that requires brakes. The SR system isn’t harsh enough in my opinion.

There should be a system in place that determines how hard the impact was and if Car A is behind Car B’s A pillar it should punish Car A based on the severity of the hit. Tiny bump that doesn’t do anything, race continues on. A hit hard enough to punt Car B off the track, that Car should lose an entire SR rating immediately and get a 30 minute penalty from Sport mode.

Before replies saying “but then people will just brake check you!” the system takes care of itself. If car B is right on Cars A’s ass then a brake check wouldn’t result in a very hard hit. If car A brakes hard and car B has some space it’s Cars B responsibility to be paying attention.
