The Jetsons was produced in the early 1960s, prior to many of the biggest events of the Civil Rights Movement in the US. Segregation was still common at that time, so it's no surprise that those working on the show would display elements of the practice. Whether it was intentional or not is up for debate, but it's safe to say that the omission of any non-white characters was an unfortunate reflection of the society in which it was created.
