I guess Asexuals aren't queer enough?

God no I wouldn’t say that. Rape is a horrible and unforgivable thing no matter what. All I’m saying is that raping a straight girl just because someone is a rapist isn’t a hate crime. It isn’t discrimination, she wasn’t raped for any reason other than the fact that people are rapists.

Nobody deserves it, and anyone who has been sexually assaulted no matter sexual orientation, gender, race, etc. should get all the support necessary for a full recovery. It’s an absolute nightmarish thing to go through and process.

It’s still a crime, but it’s a sex crime.

Raping someone because you want to cure them of being asexual is a hate crime because it’s an act of violence that targets a specific group of people based on sexual orientation (or lack of).

It’s still just as awful to go through. Like if a white man is shot by a white man it’s horrible, but if a black man was shot by the grand wizard of the KKK it’s just as horrible, but also a hate crime.

Straight people deserve acceptance and love, but Pride is for accepting those who face so many hate crimes, and putting an effort to make their lives easier and safer. There are events to help and support rape victims, POC who face oppression constantly, Hell, there are events and organizations for basically every minority group in the US. Straight people who are struggling with stuff like that have groups of people just like them working to help them as well.

Straight people should definitely be able to feel safe, and so should everyone, but Pride is just focusing on one of many minority groups. I’m not saying straight people shouldn’t feel safe at Pride or in a group of LGBT people, I’m saying that Pride is just an event for LGBT people to feel safe and welcome, and get away from discrimination and hate crimes.
