About a month ago I put up my first torso pic ever after having lost ~30 pounds. I stayed in the range of a "healthy" BMI the entire time, but I went from the high end to the lower-middle part. I didn't feel great about my body, but I wanted to see how Grindr users would treat me.

I got a few messages right away, so I was feeling good. Then a guy asked me if I'm a trans man. I felt pretty awful about the question, but I asked him why he wanted to know. He said the red marks on my chest made him question it. I felt better hearing that reasoning. I'm a pale guy and my body did have some red marks because I had just taken a hot shower and I was too aggressive drying myself off with a towel.
