Now it may be a stepping stone for the future... But that meme is entirely accurate at the moment. Cars/trucks generate 15% of the man-made carbon dioxide on the planet. Trying to eliminate global emissions by trying to get people to drive electric cars.... First does NOTHING... Arguably makes it worse, and second EVEN IF 100% OF ELECTRICITY WAS FROM RENEWABLE SOURCES is like plugging one of the holes in a boat shot by a shotgun.
