[GUIDE] A Gritty Lore-Friendly Fantasy (My Skyrim)

Yarp, throwaway time. I have an idea, although it is possibly not true at all. Read the below with a grain of salt.

This is all just hearsay, and I don't want to propagate rumours. If what I'm writing against the subreddit's policy, I will gladly remove this post, because I would, like probably everyone else here, prefer that this subreddit remain free of drama and speculation. Still, it can't hurt to know.

I sometimes go to a certain modding site, one that makes mods of a... somewhat naughty nature. (Am I allowed to say the name here?) Now, there's a bit of drama going on because it seems one or more of the mods on the Nexus have a very deep hatred for this site, going so far as to explicitly ban people for even mentioning the name on the Nexus. I can't even find the post with the rule on it, because you cannot search for the site, or even its abbreviation, on the Nexus forums. It is explicitly disallowed, and you are given a warning for doing so.

How does this tie into here? Well, if VectorPlexus, the author, is who I think they are, they were central to work on a rather popular NSFW mod, Schlongs of Skyrim--one, I might add, used to be on the Nexus, before it got taken down for reasons. (Nexus has an Adult-Only section, and SOS was hardly anything ridiculous; especially since it is essentially just a nude body replacer, containing nothing more explicit than a virtual wiener. We have lots of other 3D wieners and boobies on the Nexus. However, it was also mirrored on the site I mentioned above--a move I feel may have contributed to this decision.)

If we were given a valid reason for the ban, none of this would matter, but it seems like VectorPlexus has been banned without fanfare, and seemingly for no reason at all. So from what I can gather, somebody on the Nexus connected VectorPlexus to his work on SOS (which is connected to the naughty site) and as a result have banned him.

While I do not wholly agree with Nexus's censorship, it is their site, and I can see why they would be doing so. We should respect their decisions. If VectorPlexus had been breaking Nexus rules, he's kind of bound to abide by them--it's their site, after all. I have a feeling, though, somebody has a vendetta against this author, and it is manifesting in a way that restricts us from viewing their work. Look at the link in the comment above mine--there he is being banned from another site, for "reasons."

Personally, I think if this is true, this is absolute BS--Brutish Argonian Males seems to have been perfectly SFW, and was not breaking any Nexus rules. Internal drama should not affect what users are allowed to upload, if it follows site standards. If people have some disagreement with a certain author, let them work it out like adults; don't ban them and their contributions like some kind of internet schoolyard bully.

It is unfortunate, but we can't currently change any of this. Just be aware that even here, humans do as humans do, and hope that it doesn't affect the rest of the community in unreasonable ways.
