Guild Wars 2 Or World Of Warcraft?

I debated if I should reply or not. I don't think I'll say anything that will change your mind and your tone is scathing at best, but a reader may find an interest so I decided to go ahead and attempt to.

we're talking about game play, not how the maps look

Game play in an MMO has never been better than GW2 imo. It feels fluid and responsive. The one gripe being too many effects, in a large group it's particle overload.

Silverwastes 2.0

I liked Silverwastes, just as I do the new maps that also have events and a meta. Btw is every meta map gonna be called SilverwastesX.0? I mean was BRM called Molten Core 2.0? Odd how perception shapes our experiences...uh fail maps, sure happens. Um they repeat, yeah like all instanced content. Lich King kill was "repeated" weekly etc etc. This is not new nor something worth complaining about.

Events branching and different metas happening from choices sounds really cool, it also sounds like n times the amount of work for what people will think of as the same thing. As evidenced in your reply.

Spvp is broken...cookie cutter spam

WoW has cookie cutter too, except even more rigid. You can try a different archetype with Gw2 however. Bunker this or zerker that. In Wow if you're a ____ then you must ______. This is an improvement. But there needs more diversity than there is currently and they slated a balance pass after the first season. Patience is key.

WvW

This needs some attention currently. I have only WvW'd sub 100 hours so I don't have a lot of personal experience here. Let's just say it's literally the worst game mode ever, fine, let's move on.

Story sucked

This is an opinion really so ok.

disconnect and lose rewards

That can happen, and it was a lot initially, but the release of the x64 client virtually eliminated these DC's as the memory fragmentation bug was well known for years. Or if you don't have x64 join a group and you'll reload back on the same map, it's a workaround but it solves the issue. Being that it's fixed now though it's sorta pointless to complain about.

Gemstore is a blatant and unabashed money grab

Do you go in McDonalds and tell them their store is a blatant money grab? No? Buy a fucking burger or get the fuck on. Who cares?

But if someone wanted a glider skin and didn't want the other stuff and didn't get it I don't really give a shit honestly. And I'm happy it's there because it funds development of a game I like and I don't have to pay a sub fee. GG for me. EVERY SINGLE STORE THAT SELLS THINGS IS A MONEY GRAB BY DEFINITION. You want a way to earn it without paying? That would be cool I guess, but I think ANet would rather continue to employ people.

Anet demanded the price of a full game

Again with the tone. They didn't demand anything, they set a price and the consumer has a choice to make. You don't think GW2 is worth that price? Don't play. The fact remains a TON was added to the base game for free as a result of the expansion. People don't view that as value for their $50 for some reason. While that's obviously not true I can see why at least. I think there is more than enough added to the game for an expansion especially that they are going to roll content out for a while because of it.

But people don't like things released over time, they want it all and they want it now. Ok, fine, I can see how that makes people question the value. I don't, but I get it too.

But the real bottom line here: What makes any of that stuff worse than anything WoW has done?
