The gun debate as described by Vox (podcast)

Haha fuckoffrat guy is awesome. I'm not normally one for someone parroting the same response over and over but I have to say, in your case, you are a rat since you expend so much time and effort into what is essentially you working hard to be a good slave and trying to presuade others into thinking that their rights aren't what they are (your post about "bearable" arms, coming to mind).

I mean, you apparently didn't even know what the word "bear" means. You asserted that it had something to do with the usablity of the arms or weapons in question. You ignored my highly upvoted response correcting your error but you had to, since it only highlighted how ignorant you were.

you're blocked partly due to your failings and partly due to mine.

I'm well aware I'm blocked due to your failings. I'm curious to see what you will assert mine are other than making you look retarted but perhaps you'll get to that point eventually, let's see.

one of my failings is that i often don't even process who i'm responding to, i just work my way down the list.

Are you saying you somehow tailor your arguments based on who you are speaking to? That's kinda weird. Shouldn't you be addressing the content of the post and not the character of the responder?

thats nothing personal, it's just how i work. and actually, if i operated the way you're saying i operate---meaning, avoiding particular commentators because i'm afraid they'll make good arguments, i'll lose, etc---my MO would result in less of that.

That is exactly what I am saying. Since you just claimed that you often don't even process who you are responding to, you should respond to whoever refutes your claims. You don't do that however, you just admitted you pick and choose who you respond to. If you operated the way you just said you did, you would respond regardless of who is posting but you don't. Seems like a contradiction.

but that's irrelevant, since i don't operate that way. never have. never needed to. and the secret to not needing to, is to essentially not be ego-driven.

But you do operate that way. You just said

the criterion for blocking is basically, achieving a certain ratio of [amount of my attention sucked up] / [interesting/good points made].if this ratio is high enough, then i block.
