Gun lovers of Reddit: What is the biggest stereotype about you that is not true?

That I don't support any form of gun control.

Marine veteran here and I do support gun control.

I live in Georgia and we have the dumbest gun laws around.

In order to get a hunting permit, I have to take a real 10 hour safety course that covers more stuff than I ever did in the Corps.

To get a carry permit. I just have to be fingerprinted. How does that make sense?

At least in Tennessee you have to take a shooting course and pass. Show you have some concept of how to handle the firearm.

I believe a person buying a firearm needs to show they understand basic handling and storage safety. Accidents and improper storage is a bigger risk to basic society than criminality.
