Gun manufacturers aren’t responsible for gun deaths

But but we did go after tobacco dudes. If I remember correctly, they were responsible because they pulled off successful marketing coup and got people hooked on tobacco inspite of the health issues that are associated with smoking. Or, with oil companies and climate change. They suppressed information that would educate people on the harmful effects of their actions actively. Doesn't the same thing apply here?

Gun manufacturers have rambonized owning deadly weapons. So every tom, dick and harry wants one so they can look cool and badass but the same time they are not getting adequate safety training or gun handling. Same concept used by tobacco dudes.
