its a defensive tool just as its an offensive one. having the gun circulation that exists in america allows both the offender and defender to easily acquire guns - for what? oh yeah, for muh amendments

yes, this is true. im not arguing to strip guns from the government or all the officials. having strict gun laws that dont allow your average joe to acquire a gun within a week or two isnt a problem and allows for people to hunt or do whatever.

but my response was to someone, like many other pro-gun people, argue that vehicles also lead to deaths, so why dont we ban them? my response to this was that vehicles are a necessity in regards to our current society today, guns in the hands of morons(civilians) is not. your hobby is shit worth when it leads to people dying. the second amendment wasnt made for "a tool to farm with", it was made for you to defend yourself - a fucking 200+ year old notion that hasnt been changed although people are dying to shootings regurlarly. fucking regressing morons who defend this.
