I think it's Van Sant's best film and it definitely deserves to be in the collection, but there's no rush.

Just like the *Grand Budapest Hotel* release that everyone seems to be clamoring over, we already have a good transfer of the film on blu-ray. It's not so important that movies like this get released.

There was a post today on r/criterion on how Janus films is touring a 4k restoration of *Detour*, now that's important. One of the best film noirs that hasn't had a proper restoration and isn't available on blu-ray is something that should be valued by the Criterion community. Just like *The Crowd* and *Greed*, there are still a bunch of these greatest films of all time that *still* haven't got the treatment they deserve. Let's focus on these ones first.
