Is it just me, or am I right in saying that this is the moment where I first found it completely impossible to find the truth?

Mainstream and subversive media seem to be equally split on whether COVID-19 is a serious threat to human life on planet earth. All my trusted sources are just writing stories on how this highlights inequality, and that's all well and good, but I still don't know whether I should be wearing a mask to go get groceries, whether I should wear gloves every time I leave the house, or if this is another "swine flu" or "avian flu" that'll pass in a couple months with no massive impact.

This is just the perspective of an insanely mistrustful person, but all media I know of has been pretty difficult to trust lately, so I just don't know what to do. Also fairly drunk right now, so sorry if this upsets the hive mind.
