A guy dressed as the monopoly man, seated just a few rows behind Google CEO Sundar Pichai

In order to identify as a gender, don’t we have to accept gender stereotypes as legitimate and long-lasting? This stuff confuses me, and I can’t help but feel there is way more made out about it than there needs to be. It’s like a power play to change the status quo of a humungous majority of people by sort of changing the rules of language to appease a vast minority. It’s creating insensitive people out of absolutely normal people in doing so. And, it’s one of those things where if I went and asked individual people how they felt, I would probably find most of them also fee the social pressure to conform is high, when in reality, hardly any of them would personally feel strongly about it. It’s a strange phenomenon for something that seemingly has no ill-intent or inherent discrimination associated to it.
