Guy Fawkes Night - Beginning of the end?

Someone down our street lost half the birds in his aviary last night because they died of shock.

Our animal rescue nearly always requires vet visits the following day from animals bolting around frightened and injuring themselves (No exception this year, Just cost us a couple hundred quid for a checkup, x-ray and medicine).

Roadkill increases on firework nights. Causing dead animals a repair bills for poor sods driving about

Animals abandon their offspring because of it.

Thousands of people have to pay to get anti-anxiety meds from the vet for their pets to stop them from being so scared they literally piss themselves.

But no, the real reason people don't agree with a bunch of explosives being setoff in tightly packed residential areas are because they are "joyless, stuck up, classists ". Have fun all you want mate. Bonfires, sparklers, fountains, catheryn wheels, low noise rockets, whatever. But when you start costing other people money and causing the above, I'm sure you can understand why some people wouldn't think to highly of it without them being joyless, stuck up classists.
