Guy gets fired on the first day

As a recovering opiate addict, fuck this guy and his demeanor. I get it, the employee's shit at his job because he's high. But for God's sake, have some compassion and just fire the guy respectfully. Just ask him to leave politely and don't give him any more hours -- you don't have to go off at him on some barrage of hate.

If he wanted to help, he should have had the decency to speak more appropriately to the guy, and provide him with some actual contact info on nearby outpatient resources. If you have a friend or family member who's an addict, try to help them by referring them to other organizations and group meetings like Narcotics Anonymous. And if it's distressing, then consider attending NarcAnon (not Narconon) to talk to other family & friends of addicts.

If you're an addict, I honestly think you should give this video a skip. It's honestly kind of hurtful hearing this is what people think of addicts. And if you need more resources or just somebody to talk to, please feel free to message me. I helped start the Narcotics Anonymous in my city a few years back and I chaired there for a short time, and I've got my fair share of personal experience, so I empathize completely.
