Guy gives his girlfriend a kiss. Lady freaks out, says they're "sexually harassing" her.

Thank you. Your advice is noted and I appreciate the respectful tone. I got in a bit of a fight with a troll somewhere else, so if I came off as a bit tart to you, then I apologize (don't exactly know to which person I'm always replying to).

You're definitely right. She could not have a mental illness. And that's definitely the predominant opinion on this thread if you read it. However, one thing that I've always appreciated about Reddit is the chance to hear other opinions that might challenge the majority opinion.

I was simply trying to do that with limited words in a concise way. Obviously there are limitations on how people can converse over the internet, and sometimes it's just easier to throw out a diagnosis like "BPD" and then allow people who are interested in more research to enlighten themselves. I think if I've convinced some people to research BPD or some other medical condition that they didn't know about before, then I've made some tangible contribution to the community and the thread.

Getting this girl's diagnosis correct doesn't really concern me. She's not my patient, and it's not really going to affect how I practice medicine or interact with mentally ill. However, considering the fact that this video will surely go viral and affect this girl eventually, I'd hope that I can at least plant a few seeds of compassion before the mob devours her.
