A guy was going to ask me out in bus but didn't!

Something similar happened. I was returning from school in a bus. There are many schools nearby, so a group of students from another school also boarded the bus. None of my school mates were there, so I was sitting in the last corner seat. A girl asked me if she could have the window seat, and I said okay. So she sat there, and a minute later a woman was there with a baby standing right in front of me. I gave up my seat for her, and she got down 2 stops later. And I again sat down there. There were 3 girls sitting beside me, they were talking and then 2 of them went towards front, where there were more vacant seats. There was an awkward silence for a while and then she told me I was a nice guy for giving up my seat.

And then we started talking about our school and academics and later some personal things like interests, hobbies and so on. I could see that her friends were constantly poking at her, that typical "ooh, see those love birds". She later introduced me to her elder brother who was also on the bus. He and I were in the same class, so we generally started talking about our school and stuff.

He, then all of a sudden asked me if I have a gf or not, and when I said no, he said that's surprising because I seemed like a good guy to him. So sometime later, he said that maybe we could meet again, the next day. I said okay and he suggested I take his number. When I was home, I just called once to verify if I got the correct number and it was his sister who picked up, and said that it was actually her number. Later, I was in the same bus which the brother told me, so that we could meet, and it was only the girl who showed up. We talked the whole time again. So we met a couple of time like this.

You know, I'm terribly bad at taking hints and stuff. I told one of my irl friends and they think she is just being friendly. I dont want to act like a creep or stuff, and I'm just letting things flow until I'm sure about everything. (PS: I've been earlier rejected by girls who thought of me as "just friend", so I'm really afraid of mistaking friendship as liking, and sorry for the long reply).
