If you think they inflated numbers, take look at Soviet archives. Wait we talk about weapons and you only mention tanks? There are many other things than tanks. Weapons and tanks are two different things. Now try to compare air force. There Germans had pure superiority. Faster planes with higher altitude, better performance. Soviet planes were good only at low to medium altitudes. This is huge disadvantage in aerial combat. Go and check how much soviet air force suffered cause their lack of technological development. Sure Soviet tanks were easy to produce but so easy to knock out they were at same time. As I already said, YES soviets had numbers. Thats what you said, production of them was easy. Exactly. They produced many tanks and outnumbered Germans. About KV1/T34 and early Pz IV, do you realize that Panzer IV was tank from 1936 while T34 and Kv1 were produced later (1940 and 1939)? Now go check Battle of Kursk. Germans had new tanks there. And German tank losses in Kursk was 10 times less than Soviet one. (No one inflates anything here, check Soviet archives again, whatever managed to reach public though, Russian gov closed archives some time ago again).
I dont like Soviet tactics and its my opinion, you can like their quantity over quality tactic. But I dont. (because many people dying is not nice thing right?).
You asked how German weapons were superior and you talk only about early war tanks (and post-war tanks which were in prototype stage and NOT PRODUCED DURING WW2). As I already said German planes were good. Late German tanks were also good (you might claim other thing but statistics and KDR say something else, yes I care KDR/Win Loss ratio). Germans had long range ballistic missiles, long range jet bombs, jet fighters, jet bombers, good tanks (but few and with flaws cause lack of resources), night vision optics (late in war) and several other interesting weapons. I am talking about this type of technology. Not who managed to build more tanks. In this type of tech, Germany, UK and USA were at lead. Soviets made first jet in 1946 and it was useless Yak15. While Germans and British made jets in WW2 and so did USA.
I was talking about TECHNOLOGY, not tanks. Btw if Soviets did not have support from western allies, they were not going to win and stop living in dreams. Allies won war, USSR was not invicible, Germany was not invicible either. T34 was not war winning weapon (read link I gave). Without USA and UK fighting in Africa, Pacific, opening western front, lend-lease, bombing raids on Germany and Japan, nuclear bombing of Japan, Soviet Union was not going to win war.
Basically most clever nation in WW2 was USA. They succeeded most, suffered least. They sold weapons, made money, used USSR as meat mass against Germany, they made nuclear weapons, they captured most German weapons and scientists.
