Guy wants change for $100 bill and tries it with the newest cashier, he didn't like what he got back.

When I worked at a grocery store here in Florida, it was a regular occurrence that we'd run out of change in the mornings during the winter.

Reason? Snowbirds. Elderly Canadians would come down here for the winter after the holidays (January and February) and a lot of them would only have 100s. So they'd come in early in the morning to buy a few basic breakfast items (rarely more than $20 worth) and pay with a $100 bill. Then another would do that. Then another. One or two people doing this would knock out a register's starting cash amount - resulting in the cashier having to call the cash office for change every 3-5 customers.

I don't think any of them ever considered that 1) they're not the only ones who are trying to pay for $15 worth of groceries with $100 and 2) if we're not getting 10s and 20s from people, we won't have any to give back as change.
