Her and I matched on hinge and chatted for a day then I asked her to go out for dinner/drinks and gave her my number. So she texted me and we chatted a little more the next day. Took a day off of texting. Day of the date I texted her in the morning saying have a good day and see you tonight. She responded in a form of thanks, you too. We ended up having a good date and she said before we said goodbye that she wants to go on another date this weekend so we are planning that. She also said during the date she liked how I skipped the small talk with texting. I’ve matched with other girls who would text a lot before we actually went on a date. I just try to match whatever she is doing. For me as a guy and dating girls, there’s all types. Some don’t text a lot but rather talk on the phone, some like both, some do FaceTime, etc. but after I set up a date I usually don’t text the next day unless it happens to be a really good convo we’re both engaged. Don’t sweat skipping the small talk. I’ve had great small talk but then the date was shit and we didn’t feel a connection. You don’t know until you meet the person.
