The guy who was paid to swat someone over a stupid Call of Duty WWII bet between two idiots which resulted in the death of an innocent Kansas man has plead guilty and will serve at least 20 years in prison

Uhhh, the basics more than likely remain roughly the same... there may be some things like they have to bang on the door more than a few times but other than that, knocking the door in, distraction devices, etc is all pretty standard affair when breaching... which is like what it sounded like is when they happened to shoot this innocent dude who got swatted. Innocent joe answers the door, they probably rush in, maybe he pulls his pants up, maybe he runs around a corner and appears to grab something.... you get my point. I’m. It saying it’s his fault, the SWAT operator was obviously in the wrong, but like I said, the complete shock and disbelief of the innocent guy could have made him do something the officer found threatening or otherwise.

My point is that during a breach is the time where all parties involved don’t have time. That’s the time when quick decisions must be made. It’s a shame the officer made the wrong choice, but I’m just asking folks to not jump to derogatory remarks about first responders and to realize it’s not like he opened the door to say “hi officers” and then they shot him in the face.
