Do guys ever feel insecure gaining weight in the "dating world"?

Overglossing majority of people don't know what isbthe reason of their weight gain and most of othwr problems because they don't consult professionals.

A lot of people skip medical check ups until it is too late, self medicate for a lot of reason and think they can do whatever they want. They can't.

There are masses of people who overwork, drink too much coffee, don't eat healthy and for that reason they believe they are healthy because their BMI is under 25. Then they have heart attack at 40 and wonder why.

I am a woman so I am more used to female body standard. But it's not different for guys. If you feel you need to loose weight, go to professional, get medical check up and then see what you can do. Instead of first dieting, exercising and self medicating and seeking medical advice after all else failed.

Btw, I knew a chubby dude that cycled 2x25kms per day to work and back home, ate healthy and one day just collapsed in the meeting at work. Week later he was operated for multiple thyroid tumors. He of course tried to loose weight on his own, didn't make it though. He was just like few kilos from athletic weight.

I know a dude who was severely underweight for years and tried some diets, supplements and exercise to gain muscles. Turned out he had some disease that kept him from gaining weight. He sought medical advice after his intestine system couldn't take supplements anymore. Of course it was too late and thanks to all the stuff he did, he will live with stoma for the rest of his life.

I know plenty of women who tried to loose few kilos here and there and ended up in circle of dieting/weight gaining and now weight twice as much as before started this madness. One or two developed anorexia nervosa, I have a chubby childhood friend who tried to loose weight for many years without success but years of malnutrition made her infertile. Imagine that, she was 27, she met a guy who was well into the chubby her and last 10 years she spend all the money and time to have a baby.

So telling people to just eat less/more, this or that is irresponsible.

You are right though, we are offered too much of processed food. It's beyond me why in my country 2.5kg bag of deep frozen fries cost as much as 1kg of fresh potatoes. How is that possible that fresh meat cost more than processed burger. And in the current economic situation, people buy cheaper and cheaper because more expensive options are not within their budget anymore.
