We were colleagues and always hung out together with 2- 3 more people in our group. We used to do crazy stuff together like rolling a joint on the office stairs, where people used to pass by and give us the dirty looks for our guts. Or sneak between the office ours on the 12th floor to have a quick smoke.

So it was her birthday, and last night I was rolling joints to save the effort for later, and I happened to make a long pencil joint as thin as a straw and perfectly symmetrical. So I put that joint in a pen case which opens up like a case for your glasses, and in the office during a suitable time I told her it was a gift for her birthday. She opened it and she was laughing and very impressed.

After about an hour later, I notice she's winking at me. I looked longer to make sure, and she winked at me again. It was so awkward, and it was an instant turn off. She probably was "checking" if I was interested in her. Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't. But come on girl, seriously? You should have looked for a better move or else let me have handled it.
