It is the same.

You queue into people you don't like? Leave and re-queue instantly. Currently if someone is being useless/asshole/etc. You can leave and re-queue in the lvl 28 version. Any higher you either stick with it or you find another group, like you would in matchmaking, except it's more tedious and time consuming.

You also have control over the people you match up with, refer to what I said above. The limited control in matchmaking is exactly the same in using LFG sites. You see random people posting basic information about their characters. That's it. You don't know if they're competent. You don't know if they're lying about knowing the fight. You don't know if they're just going to jump around while you do all the work. You don't know if they're a quadriplegic. If you run into people under-geared in matchmaking, you can leave and find another group instantly. I did the lvl 34 PoE with 2 people that never got more then single digit kills in very wave. It was very evident that they were letting me do all the work while they talked about getting high and how great House of Wolves is. A micless player can be a competent person, you don't need a mic if you know what you're doing. I'd even argue that there are more people with mics that are useless then those without, but then again, a persons skill and completely unrelated to whether or not they have a mic. Being able to communicate is great, but it's not necessary if people already know what they're doing. And I'd like to remind you that the DLC dropped earlier this week

The issue of matchmaking has never been whether or not it would ruin raids/end game content. The issue is the community who blame things on people not having mics, not having Gjallarhornes, not having the HM CE Shader. The community has turned into an elitist circle jerk and instead of trying to help one another you're simply shunning whoever doesn't mean your own personal standards.

Also, you mentioned having one hopeless person in a raid and your solution is to simply cope with it? Really? You don't see the issue here?
