Guys who make female characters in games, why?

Why not? You want yours to look good and be someone you'd enjoy playing as, I want mine to look good and be someone I'd enjoy playing as. To make yours look good to you you made it look like a guy with hairstyle 14 and blue eyes, to make mine look good to me I made it a girl with hairstyle 6 and green eyes.

If I want to make my character really cute with no sexual element, it's presumably because I like looking at cute things.

If I want to make a bespoke waifu character I'd like to fuck, it's presumably because I like looking at sexy things.

If I want to make an awesome cool guy, it's presumably because I like looking at cool things.

If I want to make an awesome cool girl, it's also presumably because I like looking at cool things and decided to make it a girl this time.

If I want to make a ripped badass power fantasy dude, it's presumably because power fantasies are satisfying to me.

If I want to go full Monster Factory with no middle sliders and bright green skin, it's presumably because I find it funny.

If I want to play as an elf then I'll probably play as an elf. I don't necessarily pick my race because of which one has the best stats for my playstyle, sometimes I just want to play as an elf because I like the elves better than the half-orcs.

If I'm a 4-year-old with a pack of crayons and some paper and I want to draw a blue stegosaurus, it's probably because I like the colour blue and I like stegosauruses.

The reason you get customisation options in the first place is to make a character you would like, I would think it's pretty obvious why you would pick any given option.
