Gym rats of Reddit, what advice or tips would you give to a person who's going to the gym for the first time?

First off when lifting, the only thing that matters is the amount of weight lifted. Who says curls can't be a full body workout? Fucking scrubs that's who.

Second, make sure you lift with your back and only your back, I mean take you legs completely out of the equation. After all they are just stealing blood from all the important muscles located in your arms and chest.

Which brings me to my third point, NEVER EVER waste a precious day on legs. You never know which day on this earth will be your last so why waste it on things that aren't important to you? You know who looks at legs? Jealous dudes at the gym that are trying to put down your sick swole cause they are mad jealous of your bodacious biceps.

Fourth, the gym is a social setting, so if you wanna get big spend time around the biggest guys there. Make sure you match their weights when lifting to let them know you belong. If you make fun of people doing less weight then you that's a big thumbs up as well. Remember the bigger your crew the better off you are, gainz through osmosis is a scientific fact brah.

Fifth, spend all your time in between sets flexing in the mirrors. Not only do they give you a little extra burn after sets, everyone there will know you aren't someone to fuck with.

Last, make sure you have all your pre-workout, workout, and post-workout shakes, drinks, and bars ready. Everyone will know your a beast when you come into the gym foaming at the mouth from 6 different flavors of C-4.

Follow these steps and you will have a body that Atlas himself would be jealous of in a matter of weeks. Now go my disciple of yolked and make Hercules proud.
